Italian municipalities launch digital citizen services in Benevento and Molise
The city of Benevento has started the “MY Benevento – Città Digitale” project, creating a personal digital dossier for each resident that aggregates procedures, payments and notifications on a single platform. The system follows the EU “once‑only” principle, so information already held by public administration will not be requested again, and it will employ a certified‑source AI tool based on Retrieval‑Augmented Generation. The initiative is part of the municipality’s 2026‑2028 plan and is being promoted for the “PA e Futuro” award.
In the neighboring region of Molise, more than 400 students received a “Digital Passport” after completing the “Online Onlife – Guida all’uso consapevole del digitale” programme. The curriculum, run by the regional communications committee together with Agcom, the Articolo 49 Foundation and the regional school office, covered online safety, cyber‑bullying, fake news and responsible digital habits. Graduates were honoured in several schools across Molise, highlighting the region’s push for safe and informed web use among youth.
