Benevento healthcare union supports new territorial medical structures

The FP CGIL Benevento union has expressed support for the activation of new territorial healthcare structures in the Sannio region, as mandated by DM 77/2022. This initiative includes the opening of Community Houses, Community Hospitals, and Territorial Operational Centers (COT), a move announced by the ASL di Benevento.

While welcoming the step toward strengthening proximity medicine, the union emphasized that opening facilities is only the first stage of a complex reform. They stressed the necessity of achieving true integration between hospitals and local territorial services to prevent emergency room overcrowding and ensure continuous patient care. The union has called for a technical dialogue between local health authorities and trade unions to create integrated systems for managing patient transitions and oncology networks.
