Benevento hosts sixth edition of Mangiare Campano event

The sixth edition of the itinerant event “Mangiare Campano” is scheduled to take place on November 11, 2026, at the Teatro De La Salle in Benevento. Organized by the “Dolce & Salato” training school from Maddaloni, the event focuses on the Mediterranean Diet, specifically exploring both sweet and savory breakfast traditions.

The program includes a conference moderated by journalist Claudio Coluzzi, addressing Campanian biodiversity, nutraceuticals, and the economic impact of breakfast on local small-scale producers. Academic contributors will discuss topics such as the prevention of childhood obesity, livestock biodiversity, and the substitution of sucrose with alternative sugars in traditional recipes.

Benevento Mayor Clemente Mastella will participate in the event, which aims to promote local agro-food chains and the cultural value of Italian cuisine. The day will conclude with an exhibition and guided tasting of regional culinary excellence.
