Benevento leads Campania in WineHunter Award Gold 2026

The province of Benevento has emerged as a leader in the Campania region's viticulture, with 20 local companies receiving the WineHunter Award Gold 2026. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the Sannio territory, which also saw 30 local entities recognized with the Award Rosso.

The awards ceremony will take place on October 7 at the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Chiostro di Santa Sofia, in Benevento. This event celebrates the long-standing collaboration between the Sannio Consorzio Tutela Vini and the Merano WineFestival, which is entering its 35th edition.

The recognition highlights the growing economic importance of wine production in the Sannio region and its role in promoting local identity and tourism through high-quality viticulture.
