Benevento officials urged to announce paid parking changes, cites local leader

Ciro Vallone, vice‑president of the local Fratelli d'Italia circle in Benevento, sent an open letter to city councilor Attilio Cappa demanding clear information about the recent reinstatement of paid parking on Via del Pomerio. Vallone says residents were fined without any prior notice, signage or public communication.

He also warns that the municipality plans to activate payment on the city’s “blue‑zone” streets and asks for a 15‑day information campaign, visible signage, and a tolerance period before fines are imposed. Vallone calls the current approach a “trap for revenue” and urges the administration to provide transparent details on where, when and how parking fees will be collected.
