Benevento opens new underground Porta Rufina parking

After fourteen years of inactivity, the Porta Rufina underground car park in Benevento was inaugurated on 5 August. The two‑level facility now offers more than 160 parking spaces equipped with automatic barriers, digital payment systems and other modern technologies, under the management of Bemobi – Benevento Mobilità.

Mayor Clemente Mastella highlighted the project as a key step in revitalising the Porta Rufina‑Via Rummo‑Piazza Orsini district, noting that the opening will be followed by the redevelopment of the former Malies‑Orsoline site into affordable housing for students and families, new commercial spaces and further urban renewal of Piazza Orsini.
