Gunshots fired in Benevento’s Parco De Mita have left one person injured and caused widespread alarm. The incident reportedly began following an argument near a business located within the park.

A 27-year-old local man sustained a hand injury from a projectile and was transported to San Pio Hospital. While his condition is not considered life-threatening, medical assessments are ongoing. The chaos also caused a local business manager to fall ill, requiring medical assistance.

Ciro Vallone, Vice President of the local Fratelli d’Italia chapter, has called for an extraordinary security plan. He cited the incident as evidence of growing social unrest and a lack of safety for families in the area, urging authorities to increase police patrols, improve lighting, and install more functional surveillance cameras in public spaces.
