Benevento to host conference on Legionella prevention in hospitality

The Order of Physicians, Surgeons and Dentists of Benevento will host a multidisciplinary conference titled ‘Preventing Legionella in hospitality facilities: safety, health and responsibility’ on Thursday, October 1. The event will take place at the G. D’Alessandro Auditorium.

The conference aims to address public health risks and safety for both guests and workers in the tourism sector. Discussions will focus on risk management, system monitoring, and the maintenance of technical installations to prevent the proliferation of the bacteria.

Key topics include sanitary and epidemiological profiles, as well as environmental and technical management. The initiative is intended for owners and managers of hotels, B&Bs, agritourism sites, spas, and wellness centers, along with professionals involved in system design and maintenance. Institutional greetings will be provided by Nino Lombardi, President of the Province of Benevento; Girolamo Pettrone, Commissioner of the Chamber of Commerce; and Andrea Esposito, President of Confindustria Benevento.
