Benevento workers protest unpaid wages from Trotta Mobility

Workers from the former Trotta Mobility public transport company in Benevento are protesting over unpaid wages, including July salaries, 14th-month bonuses, and severance pay (TFR). The labor dispute follows the transition of service to AIR Campania on August 1.

The USB Trasporti union has met with Mayor Clemente Mastella and Councilor Luigi Ambrosone, requesting that the municipality withhold final payments to Trotta and instead redirect those funds to the workers. Opposition councilors Giovanna Megna and Francesco Farese have also called for institutional intervention, arguing that employees should not be penalized for administrative delays or the procedural transition of the service.

While the municipal administration has expressed willingness to evaluate solutions to provide justice for the workers, the situation remains critical as some former employees have reportedly received very little or nothing regarding their outstanding arrears.
