Benevento waste services resume normal operations after heat emergency

Asia Benevento has announced the restoration of standard waste management services following the end of a heat emergency. Starting Friday, August 21, the municipal Ecocentro in Contrada Margiacca will resume regular operating hours, opening from 09:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 18:00. Additionally, afternoon door-to-door differentiated collection services will return according to their respective zone calendars.

In preparation for the ‘Benevento Città Spettacolo’ event scheduled from August 25 to August 30, temporary changes to waste disposal will be implemented in the historic center to maintain urban decorum. Following an ordinance by Vice Mayor Francesco De Pierro, evening waste exposures in areas such as Corso Garibaldi, Piazza Santa Sofia, and Piazza Roma will be postponed to the following morning between 05:00 and 09:00.

Specific shifts include non-differentiable waste being moved to the morning of August 26, plastics and metals to the morning of August 27, paper and cardboard to the morning of August 28, organic matter to the morning of August 29, and glass to the morning of August 31.
