Benfica and Ajax face mixed starts in domestic league openings

In the Eredivisie, Ajax secured a 1-0 victory over PEC Zwolle in Míchel's debut. Ter Stegen provided a strong performance in goal, notably making a crucial save against Tobias Sommeren. After a red card for PEC Zwolle early in the second half, Ajax extended their lead through goals from Mokio and Brandt.
