Portuguese clubs secure UEFA Europa and Conference League spots

Portuguese football clubs have secured their positions in upcoming UEFA competitions. Following successful qualifying rounds, Benfica and Torreense will compete in the Europa League league phase, while SC Braga enters the UEFA Conference League.

In the Europa League draw, Benfica faces opponents including AC Milan, Celtic, and AZ Alkmaar. Torreense, making its European debut after winning the Taça de Portugal, will face teams such as Olympiacos, Real Sociedad, and Sunderland. Benfica recently secured its spot by defeating Aarhus 6-2 on aggregate.

SC Braga's Conference League campaign will include matches against Gent, KuPS, Egnatia, Brann, Aarhus, and Copenhagen. The club will play three matches at home and three away. Benfica president Rui Costa noted the club's successful qualification and discussed recent player developments and transfer market strategies.
