Benfica manager Marco Silva seeks improvement ahead of Aarhus playoff

Benfica manager Marco Silva stated that the team is still far from reaching his ‘dream team’ after eight weeks in the role. Speaking ahead of the second leg of the Europa League access playoff against Aarhus, Silva emphasized that while the team has been playing well, there is significant room for improvement.

Despite holding a 3-1 advantage from the first leg, Silva expects a strong reaction from Aarhus, predicting they will attempt to press high and disrupt Benfica’s possession. He noted that the team must maintain a high level to overcome the Danish side.

Regarding squad updates, Silva expressed satisfaction with the signing of João Palhinha, noting the midfielder fits the club's profile and will strengthen the team. However, he lamented the absence of Aursnes due to injury, stating that his inability to integrate fully into training has been a setback for the squad.
