Polish winger Jakub Kamiński, 24, is set to move from Germany's 1. FC Köln to Portuguese champions SL Benfica. The Lisbon club will activate his €20 million release clause and has agreed a long‑term contract that could run to 2031. Kamiński arrived at Köln after a loan spell from VfL Wolfsburg, made 36 Bundesliga appearances last season with seven goals and five assists, and was a key player for the club.

Benfica announced the deal is in its final stages, describing the striker as a “machine for work” with high sprint and mileage statistics. The transfer will bring €20 million to Köln, which plans to reinvest the funds in several new signings. Prior to Benfica, the winger was linked with Brighton, RB Leipzig and other European clubs, but the Portuguese side offered the most concrete terms.

Kamiński expressed his readiness to start and prove his quality, saying in a statement, “Pronto para começar e mostrar a minha qualidade.” The move adds to a growing trend of Polish players joining Portuguese clubs alongside Jan Bednarek, Jakub Kiwior and Oskar Pietuszewski.
