Bengaluru launches automated building approvals and new hospital
The Greater Bengaluru Authority has launched Nambike Nakshe 2.0, an automated building-plan approval system designed to reduce processing times from several months to approximately 30 minutes. The system initially applies to residential sites up to 4,000 square feet with up to four dwelling units. Applications must be submitted online by qualified architects and must comply with town-planning regulations.
In a separate infrastructure development, Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda laid the foundation stone for a new Rs 75-crore government hospital in Bellahalli, Yelahanka taluk. The 125-bed facility is planned as a three-story building, with future expansions intended to increase capacity to 250 beds. The project aims to address healthcare gaps in North Bengaluru, specifically serving areas that lack a dedicated taluk headquarters.
