Bengaluru launches e-Aasthi 2.0 digital property record system

The Karnataka government has launched e-Aasthi 2.0, an upgraded digital property record system designed to streamline services in Bengaluru. Launched by Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, the platform aims to increase transparency and reduce citizen reliance on intermediaries by allowing property owners to manage records online.

The new system integrates with existing portals such as Kaveri, BESCOM, and BWSSB to facilitate automatic record updates and information exchange between departments. Key features include the ability for owners to correct names, ownership details, and area measurements, as well as an upcoming online module for property bifurcation for plots up to 20,000 square feet.

Of the more than 35 lakh properties in Bengaluru, approximately 24 lakh records have been digitized, with 11 lakh final e-khatas already issued. The system also supports users living outside the state, including NRIs, through digital signature facilities. The previous e-Khata system was a recipient of the National e-Governance Gold Award 2025.
