Bengaluru: Man arrested for assaulting police constable

A 65-year-old man, identified as Manjunath C, was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly assaulting and abusing a traffic police constable.

The incident occurred on August 16 at the Gottigere Junction on B G Road. According to police, the accused headbutted and punched the constable, Arun Manjappa Badagoudra, causing bleeding injuries and obstructing his official duties. Following the assault, the suspect fled the scene.

Police traced and apprehended the suspect in the early hours of August 17. A case has been registered at the Hulimavu Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing.
