Bengaluru man kills wife and dies by suicide after domestic dispute

A domestic dispute in the Vibhutipura area of Bengaluru resulted in a murder-suicide involving a couple. Police reports indicate that 38-year-old autorickshaw driver Raghavendra allegedly killed his wife, 30-year-old Shruthi Raghavendra, before taking his own life.

The incident reportedly occurred late Tuesday night. Preliminary investigations suggest the violence may have been triggered by a dispute regarding Shruthi’s habit of watching or filming social media reels on her mobile phone. According to police, Raghavendra allegedly attacked his wife with a beer bottle and a knife before hanging himself inside their residence.

The couple’s two children were not present during the incident, as they were staying with grandparents in Davanagere. Local authorities from the HAL Police Station have registered a case and are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances and motives surrounding the deaths.
