Bengaluru SUV crash kills two, injures three
A Mahindra Thar SUV carrying five friends overturned on the Gudemaranahalli–Dabaspet Road near Kambalu village in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Tuesday night. The group was returning from a birthday celebration when the driver lost control, with overspeeding suspected as a primary factor.
Two occupants were killed on the spot – identified in reports as Pawan and Deepak in one account and Dileep (23) and Nitish (23) in another – while the remaining three passengers sustained serious injuries and were taken to private hospitals for treatment. Police have registered a case, seized the vehicle for examination, and are investigating possible alcohol involvement and reviewing CCTV footage.
Local residents assisted at the scene, providing first aid and alerting emergency services. The accident caused temporary road disruption while debris was cleared.
