Bengaluru Traffic Police revives ‘Cop for a Day’ initiative

The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) has revived its ‘Cop for a Day’ initiative, inviting residents to experience the challenges of urban traffic management firsthand. The program allows citizens to work alongside officers to gain insight into the pressures and responsibilities involved in maintaining road safety and efficiency during peak hours.

Participants are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions to help authorities improve traffic flow and road safety. Interested individuals can register for the program through the BTP ASTraM mobile application. Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Karthik Reddy noted that the initiative serves as an opportunity to listen to citizen perspectives, while Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge described it as a hands-on experience to understand the city’s growing traffic complexities.
