Bengaluru Youth Protest Demands Overhaul of Education System

On Sunday thousands of students gathered at Freedom Park in Bengaluru, chanting slogans such as “Modi, Amit Shah, you are left” and denouncing the current government’s handling of education. Protesters called for accountability for perceived corruption and shortcomings in the school system, invoking the legacies of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh as inspirations.

The rally drew participants from across India, including Karnataka, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Assam. Speakers highlighted issues like declining GDP, foreign‑policy lapses and communal division, urging the administration to answer their questions and end what they described as “corrupt rule.”
