Bengkalis and Lanal Dumai strengthen Malacca Strait maritime security

The Bengkalis Regency Government and the Dumai Naval Base (Lanal Dumai) have committed to strengthening cooperation to secure the maritime borders of the Malacca Strait. During a meeting with Lanal Dumai Commander Colonel Agung Nugroho Kusumaji, Bengkalis Regent Kasmarni emphasized that the strategic location of Bengkalis requires synergy between local government, the military, and the community to maintain national maritime sovereignty.

In conjunction with the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian Navy, Lanal Dumai also conducted social activities in Bantan Timur, Bengkalis. These activities included providing free health examinations and distributing 105 food packages to underprivileged residents and the Akit indigenous group. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Bengkalis National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) and the Bantan District Government to support the welfare of coastal communities.
