Bengkalis Police Conduct Leadership Handover for Criminal Investigation and Traffic Units

The Bengkalis Police (Polres Bengkalis) held a formal handover ceremony for the heads of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) and the Traffic Unit (Kasat Lantas) on October 19, 2026. The ceremony was led by Bengkalis Police Chief AKBP Eko Rubiyanto.

AKP Arthur Joshua Toreh, formerly of the Riau Regional Police (Polda Riau), has been appointed as the new head of the Criminal Investigation Unit, succeeding AKP Yohn Mabel, who has transferred to the Indragiri Hulu Police. Additionally, AKP Erwan Marchdonida, previously the head of the Dumai Police Traffic Unit, has taken over as the head of the Bengkalis Traffic Unit from AKP Shandra Amalia.

AKBP Eko Rubiyanto stated that these rotations are part of organizational dynamics intended to refresh the force, support career development, and increase operational effectiveness. The new officials are expected to maintain ongoing programs while improving professionalism and public service quality, particularly regarding transparent and fair law enforcement.
