Bengkulu Governor reports Rp2 trillion in central government support

Bengkulu Governor Helmi Hasan reported that the Indonesian central government has provided more than Rp2 trillion in program funding to the province. This support spans various sectors, including education, agriculture, and infrastructure. Notable initiatives include the Sekolah Rakyat program in Bengkulu and Kaur Regency, as well as the Sekolah Garuda program.

Simultaneously, a national research firm, Prisma Research & Strategy, reported an 81.2 percent public satisfaction rate regarding Helmi Hasan’s performance. The high rating is attributed to successes in road infrastructure, free ambulance services, and healthcare improvements. The study also noted high satisfaction levels for telecommunications, electricity reliability, and education facilities.

Despite these positive metrics, the research highlighted areas for improvement, specifically regarding environmental protection in investment and mining policies, local job creation, and structural reforms in integrity and public service.
