Beni Suef Governor addresses water issues and market regulations

Major General Abdullah Abdel Aziz, Governor of Beni Suef, held meetings to address several administrative and infrastructural priorities in the governorate.

A primary focus was developing an urgent action plan to tackle water accumulation reported in various villages. The governor directed officials to identify the exact sources of these puddles—whether from surface water, groundwater, or network leaks—to implement tailored solutions. He also emphasized the importance of completing ongoing sewage projects to improve infrastructure and prevent future issues.

Additionally, the governor discussed the implementation of directives from the Council of Governors, chaired by Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly. Key initiatives include expanding temporary and permanent markets to ensure the availability of essential goods at stable prices, intensifying market inspections, and launching seasonal market programs.

Other discussed topics included environmental and urban improvements, such as implementing a comprehensive afforestation plan using treated wastewater, enhancing waste collection services through partnerships with small entities and civil society, and improving cleanliness, lighting, and road maintenance across cities and villages.
