Beni to receive 25 km of new asphalted urban roads
The city of Beni in North Kivu is set to receive 25 kilometers of asphalted urban roads. The project, initiated by the Democratic Republic of the Congo's central government, was officially launched on October 2, 2026, during a ceremony at ENRA.
The construction work, which will be executed by the company BUSINESS, covers several major arteries including Toni Avenue, Kalinda Avenue, la Révolution, Boulevard Beu, and Sakalombi Street.
North Kivu Military Governor, Major General Somo Kakule Evariste, presided over the launch, describing the infrastructure project as a “sign of resilience” in the face of ongoing security and health challenges in the region. The ceremony was attended by various political, administrative, and security authorities, including representatives from the Congolese National Police.
