Benicarló approves new bus station to centralize transport

The Benicarló City Council has approved the project for a new bus station designed to centralize intercity transport and reduce bus traffic within the urban center. The infrastructure will feature eight bus bays and a covered structure spanning nearly 2,000 square meters on a 5,040-square-meter plot located at Paseo de Febrer Soriano.

Mayor Juanma Cerdá described the project as a strategic step for the city. The construction is expected to take approximately ten months, with 250,000 euros in funding provided by the Diputación de Castellón’s Plan Impulsa for the 2026-2027 period. The project is now entering its administrative phase to begin the solicitation and construction process.
