Benidorm and El Puerto de Santa María launch summer education programmes
The municipality of Benidorm is running its annual Summer School, organised by the FAMPA Marina Baixa and the city council. More than 400 children aged 3 to 13 have enrolled for the July‑August sessions, with 255 already attending. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Els Tolls public school and includes additional services such as extended hours and meals. The city is allocating over €67,000 to subsidise full‑cost attendance for families with limited resources.
In El Puerto de Santa María, the CEU Fernando III University is hosting its first summer course series titled “Jornadas sobre Defensa y Sociedad”. The open‑to‑public programme comprises four sessions on 15 July, 21 July, 29 July and 4 August at the Ermita de Santa Clara. Speakers include former army chief Fernando Alejandre Martínez, Admiral Fernando García Sánchez, economist José Manuel Cansino and other defence‑related experts. The event is organized in collaboration with the Catholic Association of Propagandists and the municipal council.
