Benidorm awards festive lighting contract to Iluminart

The Benidorm Local Government Board has awarded a contract to the company Iluminart for the installation of extraordinary lighting for both the Patron Saint festivities and the Christmas season. The contract is valued at 169,279 euros annually and has an initial duration of one year, with the possibility of three annual extensions.

Mariló Cebreros, the Councilor for Festivities, stated that all planned lighting will utilize LED or low-consumption technology to minimize energy use and emissions. The project aims to enhance the aesthetic and quantitative quality of the city's decorations during its two most significant festive periods.

The lighting for the Patron Saint festivities will include arches, festival announcement signs, allegorical crowns for the queens, and municipal banners. Additionally, the Town Hall facade will be decorated. Following the November celebrations, the existing lighting will remain in place and be supplemented with Christmas decorations, including illuminated streetlamps and trees in areas such as Els Tolls, Foietes-Colonia Madrid, the City Center, La Cala, and El Rincón de Loix.
