Benidorm reports high hotel occupancy in October
Benidorm is experiencing high hotel occupancy rates during the month of October, signaling an extension of the tourist season beyond the summer months. During the first half of October, the city reached an occupancy rate of 89.8%, outperforming the Costa Blanca region (excluding Benidorm), which recorded 82.3%.
The British market remains the primary source of tourists for Benidorm, accounting for 45.2% of visitors, followed by the Spanish national market at 34.8%. Other notable markets include the Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland. Across all hotel categories, occupancy has increased by approximately six percentage points compared to the previous year.
In conjunction with these trends, local authorities and economic organizations are hosting sessions to discuss the Alicante Provincial Economic Yearbook. This study, prepared by Ineca, analyzes the economic and social evolution of the province and focuses on the strategic role of tourism as a driver for Benidorm’s local economy.
