Benidorm to host ‘Maratón del euro’ fundraiser for patronal festivals

The Benidorm Patronal Festivals Commission will host the traditional ‘Maratón del euro’ on September 5 to raise funds for the upcoming major festivities scheduled from November 7 to 11.

The event will take place on Tomás Ortuño Street, starting at 10:00 AM near l'Hort de Colón. Participants, including local businesses, residents, and tourists, are encouraged to donate one-euro coins to support the festival organization. The 2026 festival queens, Laura Ivars Marín and Carmen Guillem Campos, will participate in the event alongside their honor courts and municipal officials to collect donations throughout local commercial areas.
