Benin defeats India 27-0 in U-18 School World Cup
In the ongoing U-18 School World Cup in Suzhou, China, Benin secured a massive 27-0 victory over India in their second Group B match. The African side, known as the ‘School Cheetahs’, demonstrated overwhelming offensive dominance and speed, leaving the Indian defense unable to respond.
This victory follows Benin's previous 7-0 win against Qatar, bringing their total goal count to 34 across two matches without conceding a single goal. With six points from two games, Benin has already secured a spot in the Round of 16.
In the same group, China ‘Two’ also holds six points after defeating Qatar 6-0, following their initial 15-0 win against India. While both Benin and China ‘Two’ are qualified for the knockout stage, Benin maintains a superior goal difference of +34 compared to China’s +21. Benin will face China ‘Two’ in their final group match, where a draw would be sufficient for Benin to claim the top spot in the group.
