Benin Economic and Social Council relocates to temporary sites

The Economic and Social Council (CES) of Benin is temporarily relocating its services in Cotonou to facilitate the construction of a new, modern headquarters. Starting Friday, October 23, 2026, the institution's organs and personnel will be distributed across two provisional locations.

The relocation involves the President's cabinet, Bureau members, and all administrative, civil, and military staff. It also includes personnel from the former services of the Mediator of the Republic.

The two temporary sites in Cotonou are located at the Marina Tower (Building B, 6th floor) and on Rue de l’UEMOA. The CES has stated that this transition is intended to ensure the continuity of public service and that all institutional activities will proceed normally during the construction period.
