Benin reelects boxing federation president and prepares football leadership vote

On 25 July 2026 the Beninese Boxing Federation (FÉBÉBOXE) held an extraordinary general assembly in Bohicon. Delegates re‑elected President Pierre Léonard Hinvi for the 2026‑2030 term and appointed a new executive committee comprising a first vice‑president, several vice‑presidents, a secretary‑general, treasurers and other officers.

The same day the Benin Football Federation (FBF) closed the submission of candidacy dossiers for its 2026‑2030 presidency. Three electoral lists were registered, representing candidates Euloge Adda, Cosme Adandozan and a continuation list backed by the outgoing executive. The current president, Mathurin de Chacus, will finish his second term and will not run again. The new football leadership will be chosen at an elective general assembly scheduled for 22 August 2026.
