Chile's Teletón launches 2026 campaign with child ambassador and anthem

Chile's Fundación Teletón inaugurated its 2026 fundraising campaign, using the slogan “Súmate a lo que nos une”. The launch, broadcast from the Instituto Teletón Santiago, marked the start of a 90‑day national mobilization that will culminate in a solidarity event on 6‑7 November.

Eleven‑year‑old Iaán Calderón, a user of the Coquimbo institute and resident of La Serena, was presented as the campaign’s child ambassador. The official anthem, titled “Súmate a lo que nos une”, was performed live by the artists Princesa Alba and SINAKA alongside a children’s choir.

The campaign’s financial target exceeds the 44.253 billion Chilean pesos raised in the previous edition, aiming to support the rehabilitation of roughly 32 000 children and young adults across fifteen institutes, with a new centre slated for the Ñuble region. Mario Kreutzberger, known as Don Francisco, appeared in the first TV spot, emphasizing that the effort belongs to everyone. Fundación Teletón director María José Zaldívar noted that about 70 % of contributions come from individuals and 30 % from companies.
