Benjamin Azariah Southworth arrested for alleged threats against Donald Trump

Benjamin Azariah Southworth, a 40-year-old podcaster and LGBTQ+ activist, has been arrested in Los Angeles following a federal indictment. He faces three charges: threatening the President, cyberstalking, and making harassing interstate telephone calls.

According to federal prosecutors, Southworth used various social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, between January and May 2026 to post content expressing hostility toward Donald Trump and his supporters. The indictment alleges that some posts included explicit calls for the President's death and a private message stating he would not “waste the opportunity” if he were able to kill Trump.

Additionally, Southworth is accused of cyberstalking a former personal attorney for Donald Trump. Prosecutors allege he posted the attorney's home address and photographs online, encouraging followers to confront him. The indictment also claims he made harassing calls to the attorney's wife and left abusive messages for the attorney's son.

Southworth pleaded not guilty during his appearance in the United States District Court in Los Angeles and is reportedly being held without bond.
