Benjamin Castaldi discusses past television industry conflicts

During an appearance on the program ‘Tout beau, tout neuf’, television presenter Benjamin Castaldi shared details regarding past professional tensions with industry figures.

Castaldi recounted a long-standing dispute with Nicolas de Tavernost, the former head of M6. The conflict reportedly stemmed from Castaldi’s departure from the network in 2014. To meet a specific contractual deadline for a new position, Castaldi utilized a bailiff to notify M6 of his resignation on a Sunday morning. Castaldi noted that De Tavernost took the move personally, leading to a period of animosity that lasted nearly twenty years, though he believes they have recently reconciled.

Additionally, Castaldi addressed past friction with Stéphane Bern during their time working together on the TF1 program ‘Célébrités’. He described tensions behind the scenes, alleging that Bern’s working methods were frustrating and led to significant interpersonal conflict at the time.
