Benjamin Duhamel to host new Sunday political program on France 2 and France Inter

Starting 30 August, Benjamin Duhamel – known for his interview slots on France Inter – will present a 40‑minute political interview show every Sunday at 13:20 on France 2, simultaneously broadcast on France Inter. The slot, which previously featured Laurent Delahousse’s magazine after the Sunday news, is being introduced as part of the public broadcasters’ preparation for the 2027 French presidential election.

France Télévisions and France Inter describe the joint programme as an effort to “unite our forces” and provide a high‑profile platform for debate during the campaign. The move follows internal scheduling changes announced by directors Philippe Corbé (France Télévisions) and Céline Pigalle (France Inter), who highlighted the need for quality discussion on issues such as climate change and European geopolitics. Duhamel, 32, previously hosted morning interviews on France Inter and took part in political coverage for France 2 during the 2025 municipal elections.

The new show will replace the Sunday magazine segment that had been hosted by Laurent Delahousse, aligning the broadcasters’ Sunday lineup with the heightened political focus of the upcoming election cycle.
