Benjamin Netanyahu releases campaign video amid Israeli election tensions

As Israel approaches general elections, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has released a campaign video featuring him performing strength training at a gym. The video serves to address unsubstantiated social media speculation regarding his physical health and emphasizes themes of resilience and national unity.

In the footage, Netanyahu warns his supporters about the importance of voter turnout, describing the race as tight. He cautioned that failure to vote could result in a government led by opposition figures Gadi Eisenkot and Yair Golan.

Simultaneously, the political landscape is being shaped by the long-term impact of the October 7 attacks. For many first-time voters, security remains the primary electoral priority. Some young voters have indicated a shift toward far-right and ultra-nationalist parties, citing a desire for increased deterrence and stricter policies regarding Gaza.
