Benjamin Sesko faces injury setback at Manchester United

Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko is facing a significant fitness setback following a recurrence of a shin injury. The 23-year-old Slovenian international has struggled to maintain consistency since his arrival at Old Trafford, having missed much of the recent pre-season to recover from a similar issue sustained in the spring.

Sesko recently missed a match against Fulham and has been forced to withdraw from the Slovenia national team during the current international break. Slovenia manager Bostjan Cesar noted that the injury is unusual and requires significant time to heal properly, emphasizing that the player needs a supportive environment to recover.

Injury welfare experts have warned Manchester United to exercise extreme caution, describing the situation as a “game of whack-a-mole” due to the high risk of recurrence. The club is currently assessing the player at Carrington to determine a long-term recovery plan.
