Benjamin Sesko marks successful return in Champions League win
Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko has expressed satisfaction with his return to action following a period of injury and a delayed start to the season. After missing much of the pre-season due to a shin injury, Sesko made his first start of the campaign in a 4-0 Champions League victory against Sabah.
Sesko scored during the match, marking his second goal in two appearances. He noted that the decision to take a patient approach to his recovery was successful, stating that his shin feels ‘perfect’ and that the delay was necessary to prevent the injury from recurring.
The Slovenian international also reflected on his transition to life in Manchester, noting that he feels more confident and settled in his second year at the club compared to his initial arrival. He indicated that the recent victory provides a significant confidence boost ahead of the upcoming derby against Manchester City.
