Benjamin Verbič returns to NK Celje on four‑year deal as club also loans Florjan Jevšenak to Mura

Slovenian winger Benjamin Verbič, 23, has rejoined his hometown club NK Celje on a four‑year contract. After eleven seasons abroad—including stints in Denmark, Ukraine and Greece—Verbič will wear the Celje shirt again and is expected to bolster the team's attack in the upcoming season. The signing was confirmed ahead of a press conference.

In a related move, Celje has loaned young midfielder Florjan Jevšenak to fellow PrvaLiga side NK Mura until the end of the 2026/27 season. Jevšenak praised the opportunity, saying the club’s support and fans would help him continue developing.

Both transfers are aimed at strengthening Celje’s squad for domestic competition and European qualification.
