Benji Marshall defends Jarome Luai’s Wests Tigers tenure

Benji Marshall has defended Jarome Luai’s two-season tenure at the Wests Tigers as a success, despite the club’s recent struggles. Marshall noted that while Luai may have wished to contribute more on the field, his impact on club standards, training, and player recruitment was significant.

Luai is set to play his final game for the Tigers this Sunday against Penrith. Following his departure, he is scheduled to join Parramatta next season before moving to the PNG Chiefs in 2028. The Tigers' performance declined following Luai's marquee signing in April, resulting in 13 losses in 16 games.
