Benlloc implements waste tax rewards for door-to-door recycling

The municipality of Benlloc has implemented a waste tax system that rewards residents for participating in the door-to-door collection method. The collection period for the tax runs from September 15 to November 15.

For households, the tax consists of a fixed fee of 15 euros plus a variable fee based on the number of organic waste contributions recorded through the door-to-door system. Residents with 60 or more contributions can reduce their total payment to 15 euros, while those with fewer than 30 contributions pay 50 euros. Data indicates that 57.2% of Benlloc households will pay a variable fee of 30 euros or less due to their participation in the system.
