Beno Obano targeted by Union Bordeaux-Bègles

Union Bordeaux-Bègles (UBB) is reportedly targeting English international tighthead prop Beno Obano to strengthen its front row for the 2027/2028 season. Obano, who has spent his career at Bath, recently visited the club's facilities and is expected to make a decision soon.

The move comes as UBB prepares for potential departures in the left prop position. Current players Jefferson Poirot and Matis Perchaud are both set to see their contracts expire in June 2027. Obano, 31, brings significant experience to the squad, having won the English championship in 2025 and earning five caps for England under coach Steve Borthwick.
