BenQ launches new smart lighting series including iMac-specific iScreenBar
BenQ has announced the launch of three new smart lighting products: the iScreenBar, the ScreenBar Max, and the NookLight floor lamp.
The iScreenBar is specifically designed for Apple iMac models from 2021 onwards. It features a magnetic mounting system made of CNC aluminum unibody construction with a glass touch surface, intended to maintain the iMac’s minimalist aesthetic without obstructing the camera, microphones, or speakers. It utilizes ASYM-Light optical technology to direct light toward the desk and minimize screen glare. The device also includes a 24GHz millimeter-wave radar sensor for automatic motion detection and integrates with macOS to allow brightness and color temperature adjustments based on specific applications.
The ScreenBar Max is aimed at dual-monitor users, featuring ASYM-TriZone Light technology that covers a workspace up to 135 cm wide. It includes adjustable backlighting and smart dimming capabilities. The NookLight is a floor lamp designed for reading, utilizing dual-curvature reflectors and an off-axis light technique to focus illumination on books while reducing glare.
According to BenQ Taiwan General Manager Chiu Hui-ling, the company is seeing a shift in consumer demand toward lighting that prioritizes comfort and health. Internal data shows a nearly 30% increase in sales for the company’s monitor light bars during the first half of 2026.
