Benson ice cream brand to join Ourhome for franchise expansion

Premium ice cream brand Benson, operated by Verus Scoop Creamery, will be incorporated into Ourhome as a business division starting in November. This follows a business transfer agreement signed on October 22 with a provisional transfer value of 36 billion won.

Benson plans to launch its franchise business in the first half of next year, initially targeting major commercial districts in Seoul and the metropolitan area. The brand aims to reach a total of 100 stores—comprising 50 directly managed and 50 franchised locations—by 2027, with plans to expand to regional areas starting in 2028.

The expansion will leverage Ourhome’s nationwide logistics network and cold chain infrastructure to ensure stable product supply. Additionally, the brand intends to explore new sales channels through Ourhome’s existing concession businesses, such as airports, shopping malls, and highway rest areas, as well as food service channels in premium apartment communities.
