Bentley prepares launch of Torcal, its first all-electric SUV

Bentley is preparing to launch the Torcal, its first fully electric SUV, which is expected to be officially presented on September 23, 2026. The vehicle is positioned as an ‘Urban SUV’ and will serve as the fourth independent model line for the luxury brand.

Technically, the Torcal is built on the Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE), sharing significant components with the Porsche Cayenne Electric. Key specifications include a battery capacity of approximately 113 kWh, providing a range of over 600 kilometers (WLTP). The vehicle is expected to deliver more than 838 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, utilizing a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.

Charging capabilities are slated to reach up to 400 kW, allowing for a 10 to 80 percent charge in under 20 minutes. Despite a projected curb weight of around 2,700 kg, the model will feature advanced suspension systems, including rear-axle steering and active roll stabilization, to maintain a grand tourer driving character. Bentley also plans to incorporate unique interior materials, such as merino wool textiles and walnut veneer, alongside a synthetic soundscape inspired by V8 engines.
