Bentley names first electric SUV Torcal, sets September 23 London debut

Bentley has officially announced that its first fully electric SUV will be called Torcal and will be unveiled on 23 September in London. The model forms a key part of the British automaker's electrification strategy after the company pushed back its goal of an all‑electric lineup to 2030. The name references El Torcal, a natural limestone formation in Andalusia, Spain, reflecting Bentley’s tradition of naming cars after geographic sites.

Torcal will be a compact SUV, about 5 m long, slightly smaller than the Bentayga, and will feature a high‑torque electric powertrain, luxury interior finishes and a curvy screen. Prototypes have already been tested in locations such as the Arctic Circle and the Nürburgring circuit in Germany, with more details expected in the weeks leading up to the London presentation.
