Bentley prepares to launch 2028 Torcal electric SUV

Bentley is preparing to launch the 2028 Torcal, the automaker’s first fully electric production vehicle. Expected to be the most powerful and quickest model in the company’s history, the luxury SUV will utilize a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup and an 800-volt electrical system designed for rapid DC fast charging.

While exact specifications have not been finalized, reports suggest the Torcal could produce approximately 838 horsepower with an estimated driving range exceeding 300 miles. The vehicle is expected to be smaller and more athletic than the Bentayga and shares architectural similarities with the Porsche Cayenne Electric. Bentley aims to maintain its performance identity by using electrification to increase output rather than softening the driving experience. A full reveal of the Torcal is scheduled for later in September.
